Layne Hovey at Frontier Kitchens & Interiors helped us with the design and construction of our new kitchen in our very old cabin! It was a challenging task making a practical and beautiful kitchen fit in the rustic 1957 cabin, but Layne was up to the task. We love our new kitchen! Several guests used it last summer and we received many compliments. It is very functional and looks great. She also helped with our new master and guest bathrooms, which also look great.

Thank you Layne! Frontier Kitchens and Interiors went above and beyond the high expectations I had for them. My husband and I wanted to update our kitchen but were physically absent during much of the process. What we found in Layne and her team was so much more than a designer. She is a FANTASTIC project manager, ably staying on top of every detail of the process (and trust me, there are more details than a novice like me realized when going into this process). She is an effective communicator and coordinates the timeline and workflow among her contractors beautifully. This project management was invaluable to our family as we couldn't be physically present at the house during much of the construction process.
Speaking of contractors, they can be very hard to come by in the Westcliffe area. Frontier Kitchens is a huge resource in this regard as Layne has a ready handful of skilled contractors for all of her construction needs.
Finally, Layne is a talented designer. She is full of ideas and product sources both online and brick and mortar around the Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and even broader Denver area. She is budget conscious and a fabulous resource for more cost-effective alternatives to customer's visions. Incredibly, she had an uncanny ability to contribute design ideas when asked, but also to take a creative backseat when I had strong/fixed ideas about various aspects of the kitchen. I found her ability to toggle between these roles within the context of the same project most impressive.
I cannot recommend Frontier Kitchens and Interiors highly enough. What an asset they are to Westcliffe and the surrounding areas!

We went up to the house a couple of weeks ago and took some furniture and things up there and organized the kitchen. Lined all those wonderful drawers and shelves through out the house. Our master bath was dated, cramped and basically dysfunctional. Not knowing where to start, we turned to Layne Hovey. Layne quickly got a feel for our needs and tastes and came up with an innovative design. She then worked with us on tile choices, cabinetry, counter top. Layne is also an exceptional project manager, who stayed on top of the project. She hires only the best to get the project done. Chris and Sonya are true craftsmen with a vision. Shawn was exceptional re configuring all the water and drain lines. We now have a show home bathroom that is spacious and functional. Frontier Kitchens and Interiors (Layne Hovey) guided us through a whole house renovation for our new 3900 sf home in Westcliffe, CO. We cannot say enough about how wonderful it was working with Layne. I had a solid idea of what I did not want and a very vague idea of what I did want. Layne patiently listened and enthusiastically welcomed the hundreds of pictures I sent her of designs I did like. Somehow, miraculously, she was able to come up with a design and with paint, flooring, fixtures, etc that were SPOT ON to what we wanted, but couldn't articulate in any coherent fashion....as if she is a mind-reader! Layne was upfront with costs, came up with many, many ideas on how to keep costs down, found carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, etc. that did an excellent job - and in fact many of these good folks have become our good friends.
